What the platform does

Four things a disclosure dataset has to get right

Insight was built for the work advisors actually do: establishing what peers do, showing how practice is moving, and being able to defend every number in the room.

Identify gaps

Pinpoint disclosure weaknesses vs. peers and market benchmarks — including the fields where a company says nothing at all.

Track trends

Monitor emerging governance and ESG practices across industries, with multi-year series for a company, its peer group and a broad index.

Accelerate analysis

Replace manual document review with structured data and screening tools — a question that took a week of reading proxies resolves in a session.

Verify sources

Direct links to SEC filings, reports and company documents for full auditability — every coded value traces to the document it came from.

Inside the platform

Screen a universe, benchmark a peer set, open the filing

Pick a library, narrow the universe, and read the fields side by side. Select a company and every value in the detail panel carries its provenance with it.

The screening view below reflects the working shape of the platform: nine libraries in the rail, filters across the top, results in tabular figures, and the source document one click away.

The nine data libraries

Structured, auditable disclosure data — organised into nine libraries

Each library preserves its full chapter and section structure. Every data field ESGAUGE tracks is published, organised exactly as it appears in the platform.

Organization, leadership, composition, elections, and anti-takeover policy.

02

03

CEO and Executive Compensation

CEO and NEO pay, incentive design, pay versus performance, say-on-pay.

04

05

Executive Employment Termination & CIC Provisions

Termination terms, cash severance, and treatment of equity awards.

06

Succession rates, CEO profiles, departing and incoming CEOs, placement.

07

Diversity, pay equity, health & safety, ethics, labor, and giving.

09

Shareholder Voting and Activism

Shareholder and management proposals, say-on-pay, proxy contests, N-PX.

Fields extend beyond one row per issuer: compensation and demographic data are also available for key C-suite roles disclosed as NEOs, and severance terms are tracked across each termination scenario separately.

Coverage universe

Thousands of companies, across three jurisdictions

Peer sets are built from index membership, so a benchmark can move from a named industry group to a broad market universe without leaving the screen.

Methodology & auditability

Every value can be traced back to the document it came from

The point of a disclosure dataset is not that it is large. It is that a partner can put a number in front of a board and show exactly where it was written down.

Primary sources only

Data is sourced directly from company filings and reports — proxy statements, annual reports, sustainability reports, and N-PX filings — rather than aggregated from third parties or modelled.

Coded to a published taxonomy

Analysts code documents into standardised fields organised by library, part and section. The full field structure is published, so coverage can be checked before a subscription starts.

Citation-linked

Each coded value carries the filing it was taken from. Direct links to SEC filings, reports and company documents make a screen defensible line by line.

Continuously updated

The dataset is updated continuously as new filings are released, so proxy-season work runs against current disclosure rather than a static annual snapshot.
